B A HUMANITARIAN: Beyoncé Teams-Up With UN's Global Humanitarian Campaign...

Beyoncé has always been a humanitarian.  She's done outreach through her Survivor Foundation, the Phoenix House, held Food Drives and many other countless charitable acts, most of which, she likes to keep out of the spotlight.  Well it looks like her latest humanitarianism will be in the spotlight.

It was announced yesterday, that she's teamed-up with the UN and humanitarian aid organizations for a global campaign to encourage people all over the world to get involved and make a difference.

B is clearly excited about this new endeavor.  She gave a little hint about it, on her website, July 25 with a post that simply said, "Leave Your Foot Print on August 19".  August 19 is National Humanitarian Day.

B's ready for August 19 and posted the following message, yesterday (August 2):

ON THE 19TH OF AUGUST 2012

WE RISE TOGETHER - FOR EACH OTHER.

DO ONE THING.  NOTHING IS TOO SMALL. DO ONE THING FOR ANOTHER HUMAN BEING.

THIS BEGINS WITH EACH OF US. MAKE YOUR MARK AND SAY, 'I WAS HERE'.

AND TOGETHER, ON AUGUST 19TH, WE’LL MAKE OUR STORIES KNOWN.

MUCH LOVE,

She also gives a list of ways we can all help.  Head over to B's site and find out more.  B will also film a special video for "I Was Here" for NHD.

The AP reports:
The international pop star and songwriter Diane Warren will donate a video of "I Was Here" that will be filmed in the UN General Assembly Hall in New York in front of a live audience. The video will premiere Aug. 19 on World Humanitarian Day and the UN hopes it will help the campaign reach 1 billion people. (Source: AP)
Get ready to make a difference on the 19.  Be Kind. Be Giving. Be Loving.

Mommyhood has made B's warmth overflow.  So proud of the things she's done since becoming a mom. The message and video for the First Lady.  All the special posts on her site, especially her Bey Inspired pieces. Even her cute little pix of Rashida Jones with the hand written message "Inspiring Woman"...just so sweet.
