King Hov & Queen B Roc Philly: Jay-Z Rocs First Annual Made In America Festival, Hits the Stage With Pearl J; Beyoncé Shows Support + Rocs Out to Rita Ora... (With Video)

Jay-Z, who served as the curator of the, Budweiser Made in America Festival, had a very successful weekend in Philly.  Jay announced, during his headlining set on Saturday, that this was "the first annual Made In America Festival." So it looks like Philly will be getting Hov's fest again next year.

Jay closed out Day 1 of the festival, Saturday night (9/1).  After a day that saw Maybach Music Group, Mike Snow, D'Angelo, Skrillex, Janelle Monae, Passion Pit and more, grace the Freedom Tent, Liberty Stage and Rocky Stage (main stage).

Jay hit the The Rocky Stage at 9:30 PM.  The concert streamed live on YouTube and Pandora.  Hov walked, or should I say glided onto the stage, because that's how cool he was, to his and Kanye's, "Made In America" playing in the background, his stature grand and his swagger godly --and the rousing applause of the festival crowd, help set the tone for the night.  He went into fan favorite "PSA" which, was interrupted by our POTUS, Barack Obama, who gave his own PSA (urging all to vote in November) a brilliant segue.  (Watch the video after the jump.)

The set was jam packed with Hova hits.  He played for the masses: "99 Problems", "Run This Town", "Big Pimpin", "Empire State of Mind".

He played for his Loyalists: "Where I'm From", "Jigga What, Jigga Who", "You Don't Know".

He played for the Hip Hop Heads: "Murda Marcyville"  and a vintage ROC set that included Bleek, Freeway & Young Chris.

He was also joined on stage by Swizz for their hit, "On To The Next One".  After over and hour of hit after hit, Jay let Kanye and his GOOD Music Family take over the stage.  Sending the crowd in a frenzy when 2Chainz came out for his "Mercy" verse.  The night ended with Jay coming back on stage and finishing out the night with stadium classic, "Paris".

Jay was in a zone and once again gave another stellar performance.  He was clearly excited about the fest, you cloud hear the joy in his voice and his smile was on all night.  Sweet.... nothing like a plan coming full circle.

Of course Mrs. Carter was in the stands cheering on her hubby.  The Carters are all about supporting one another.  B was snapped in the stands, showing off her Jay-Z Fandemonium during his set.

She and Jay spent Day  2 of the festival taking in performances and enjoying other festival events.  B was snapped hanging with friend, Rita Ora.  She and Jay took in both her and Jay Electronica's performances.

Jay also helped Pearl Jam close out Day 2 with a roc'd out performance of "99 Problems" the version he plays on festival stages.  Nice that he was backed by the actual band this time.  Check out the performance below.
