Let's Move: First Lady Michelle Obama & Beyoncé Celebrate One Year Anniversary for "Let's Move"

Yesterday marked the one year anniversary of First Lady Michelle Obama's, Let's Move! campaignLet's Move! is an initiative our FLOTUS launched to help fight childhood obesity, last May.  And she continues to make it one of her biggest priorities.

Of course our Queen, Beyoncé helped her launch the initiative.  B reworked her hit Get Me Bodied and created the workout track, Move Your Body --which immediatley became at hit in schools.  Last May B surprised a group of Harlem kids at their junior high school and performed Move Your Body with them.

The FLOTUS has released a message marking the one year anniversary.  Check out the messages below.

Last year When Beyoncé re-worked and re-imagined "Get Me Bodied" to "Move Your Body," thousands of children from Los Angeles to Hawaii danced to good health and today they're doing it again, making the commitment to better living and healthier bodies and a very special lady is singing their praises.

"One year ago today, I teamed up with Beyoncé to show kids all across the country that being active isn’t just good for you – it’s fun, too,” said First Lady Michelle Obama. “But you don't only have to dance in a flash mob to get moving. Whether it’s hula hooping, playing sports or just going for a walk, all kids can find a way to be active for 60 minutes a day and eat nutritious, delicious food so they grow up healthy and strong.”
