Nicki and MTV have teamed up for a news documentary called, My Time Now.  MTV followed Nicki around for a period of time, during her VMA Pre-Show performance, video shoots and more.  In addition to talking about her rise to fame and the obstacles that come along with it.  Nicki talks about her childhood, growing up in Trinidad and also the pains of losing her grandmother (whom raised her).  Here's a quote from MTV:
"A lot of times, when you're from the islands, your parents leave and then send for you because it's easier when they have established themselves; when they have a place to stay, when they have a job. I thought it was gonna be for a few days, it turned into two years without my mother," she says of living with relatives.

The documentary airs on Sunday, November 28 at 10pm.
