The Royals, Baby Carter Already Breaking Records: Beyonce' & Jay-Z's Baby Announcement Sets Twitter Record
During the show, Beyonce cleared up any doubt, telling the audience "I want you to feel the love that growing inside of me," before a performance of her new song, "Love on Top." And, making no show of subtlety, she then ended the song by unbuttoning her blazer and rubbing her baby belly.
Viewers took notice. Twitter's official global PR feed, Twitter Comms @TwitterGlobalPR tweeted Monday that the baby news broke a site record at 10:35 PM EST, with 8,868 tweets per second (TPS). The most TPS ever recorded for a single event.

"Watch The Throne" Changing How Things Are Done; DJs Speak on "The Throne's" Lack of Traditional Radio Singles...
Get More: MTV Shows
Via MTV: Nothing Jay-Z and Kanye West have done leading up to Monday's release of Watch the Throne has been conventional. While most rap artists look to impact radio with a big crossover single before they drop their album, the Throne handled things a bit differently.
Yes, there was the release of the Lex Luger-produced "H.A.M.," which now stands as a bonus track on the deluxe version of WTT. Then there was "Otis" of course, but with no catchy chorus, the Redding-sampled track hardly screams crossover. Shade 45 DJ Statik Selektah said he doesn't think Jay and Kanye still need to conform to radio — he actually believes the opposite: "I think Jay and Kanye could put out an a cappella song and it'll get played," the DJ told MTV News.

Via Billboard: With a full day's worth of sales under its belt, Jay-Z & Kanye West's new "Watch the Throne" album is projected to sell over 500,000 copies in its first week in the U.S., according to industry sources. That's above initial estimates yesterday, where prognosticators placed the set's debut week sales somewhere in the range of 400,000 - 500,000 copies. "Watch The Throne" Available on iTunes NOW; Physical Copies Available Friday 8/12
Via Billboard: "Watch the Throne," which miraculously didn't leak to the Web as so many eagerly-awaited albums have over the years, is exclusive to iTunes until Friday, Aug. 12. That's when all other retailers -- physical and digital -- will start selling "Watch." Of course, most brick-and-mortar retailers could opt to ignore the official street date and begin selling the CD as soon as they receive it, which may be as early as Wednesday. Best Buy has the exclusive deluxe physical CD edition of the set from Aug. 12-22, which sports the same four additional songs as on iTunes' deluxe version.
Predicting "Throne's" first week is tricky because of its unique release rollout. Traditionally, albums drop to all retailers on Tuesdays. However, "Throne" secured a Monday street date, but only through iTunes. So, its first four days of release will consist mostly of sales via Apple (with physical street-date violation sales mixed in), while the remaining three days of its first week will be a blend of physical and digital.

One of America's Saddest Days: 38 U.S. Troops Killed In Helicopter Crash, SEAL TEAM 6 Loses 22 Members
Via Time: A deadly golden BB apparently found its target over Afghanistan early Saturday, killing 31 U.S. special operations troops and seven Afghan along for the mission to learn from the best. The "golden BB" is the combat aviator's worst nightmare: a lucky shot that – if it hits in the right place – can doom a helicopter and all aboard. Helicopters are more vulnerable than fixed-wing aircraft; they fly slower, and their mechanical parts – a tail rotor, mechanical shaft or fuel tanks, for example – more likely to lead to disaster when struck.
