In The Know: President Obama & Jimmy Kimmel Shine at the 2012 White House Correspondents' Dinner

This Saturday was the annual White House Correspondents' Dinner and just like last year the POTUS shined.  He has such a sense of humor and poked fun at himself and Mitt Romney.  Jimmy Kimmel hosted, who also had his fair share of comical punchlines.  Both were very funny.  And the FLOTUS was stunning as as usual!

In The Mix: The NETS Reveal New Brooklyn NETS Logo

Today the Nets officially became a New York Basketball Team when they unveiled their brand new Brooklyn NETS Logo which was co-designed by Jay-Z who's a part owner --Jay will also be christening the new arena, with a series of concert dates, starting on September 28, 2012.

Team part owner Jay-Z played an instrumental role in the design of the logos.

"The Brooklyn Nets logos are another step we've made to usher the organization into a new era," Jay-Z said in a statement. "The boldness of the designs demonstrate the confidence we have in our new direction. Along with our move to Brooklyn and a state-of-the-art arena, the new colors and logos are examples of our commitment to update and refine all aspects of the team." (Source: ESPN.com)

PhotoShoot Fresh: Kanye & Kim Attend Tribeca Film Festival + Snapped in Soho

On Tuesday, Kanye brought Kim to the Tribeca Film Festival for Chanel's Tribeca Film Festival Artist Dinner, held at Odeon in downtown Manhattan.  The coordinated pair wore black and white.  Hmm.... looks like Ye's taking a page from his Big Brother and Sister --The Carters, whose coordinated luv is always photoshoot fresh. 

And then yesterday, the two were snapped on their way to lunch at The Four Seasons and then heading to Kanye's Soho apartment hand-in-hand later on that night.

Hovah Dollars: Jay-Z Launches Brand New Facebook Game, "Empire"...Now we can all rule an empire.....

Jay's sharing another one of his passions with us: gaming (video gaming that is). He just launched a brand new virtual game with Facebook called "Empire".

The game allows us to follow in Jay's footsteps from Marcy to Barclay (Center).  Empire, allows your virtual self to “go from hustler, to entrepreneur, to business mogul.” The better decisions you make the better your come-up!!



The game lets you create a character and then starts out by giving you many ways to earn points and move up in life. There are visits to mom or significant others when you're in need of moral support! You can be part of a rap battle, make a mix tape for street cred, and get a job to pay for your bling, among other things.

Roc News: Jay-Z is Set to Headline the Olympics Festival in London This June



Mr. Carter continues to rule the world!!!

Jay will be headlining the popular music lineup for the London 2012 Olympic Games.

The musical event will be part of the BBC Radio 1 Hackney Weekend 2012.  It will be held June 23-24 a month before the Games. 

“The London 2012 Festival will be the biggest cultural celebration in our lifetime,” said Royal Opera House Chief Executive Tony Hall.  Hall is the chair of the Cultural Olympiad board.

The U.K. Olympic committee is making the arts a key part of this year's summer Olympic Games, which run from July 27 to Aug. 12.
Jay won't be Roc Nation's only mega act headlining the event, Rihanna is also scheduled to perform at the event, as well.

Jay attended the Nets final game in NJ on Monday.  The team, which he part owns, will become the Brooklyn Nets next season and will play in Brooklyn at the Barclay Center.  Jay'll be opening up the Barclay Center on September 28 with a series of concerts.

B was snapped walking to her Midtown office in NYC today.  The new mommy, who has been named People's Most Beautiful Woman, looked radiant.  I luv seeing her so happy.

Last night President Obama's sit down with Jimmy Fallon aired.  The interview was conducted at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill.  The President was in North Carolina talking with students about the future and his visions for America's continued progress.  

During the Fallon interview, the President talked fairness, student loans, the economy and the importance of investing in education. He also participated in the Slow Jam the News segment.  He is such a natural.  We will continue to support and fight with you Mr. President!

Last night, Kanye joined Kim and the Kardashian/Jenner Family for the opening of Scott Disick's brand new Japanese restaurant RYU in NYC.  Afterwards the new couple was snapped holding hands as they left Catch.

Hip-Hop Moguls: Jay-Z & Diddy Take Top Spots on "The Forbes Five: Hip-Hop's Wealthiest Artist 2012"



The Two Shawns (Shawn Carter and Sean Combs) once again take the top two spots on a Forbes Hip-Hop Cash List.  This time it's for The Forbes Five:  Hip-Hop's Wealthiest Artist of 2012.  Mr. Combs took the top spot (that CiRoc don't stop).  With a net worth of $550 million.  While Mr. Carter took the second spot with $460 million.  Not bad for a Brooklyn and Harlem boy!!! Sweet.

According to Forbes here's how the two moguls accrued their wealth:

King Carter:  Next up is Jay-Z at $460 million. Unlike his fellow Forbes Five members, Jay-Z still churns out music and goes on tour—most recently with pal Kanye West—adding to his considerable war chest. And Ms. Minaj was snapped in London today, greeting her fans.  She's in the UK promoting her number one album, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded.  She looked in much better spirits today.  (I think sometimes people forget that everyone is human, someone's child and hurts just like them. And when you feel attacked it's natural to get defensive.  Money doesn't take away or cure your heart or your emotions.)

B and Blue went to Jay's beloved Brooklyn today to visit Solange.  Check out pix of the mommy-daughter duo coordinated in yellow or as Queen B refers to it as saffron.

The Carters, fresh off their St. Barts vacay, have been out & about enjoying all things NYC.  Jay and B took in hometown favorites the Knicks -vs- Miami on Sunday.  The new parents also had lunch at Bar Pitti.

Then on Monday, B and baby Blue were snapped walking through Central Park.  Little Blue is such a butterball.  A beautiful little Princess.  On Monday night they took in Jay's Nets in Newark.

Looks like B took Blue to rehearsals yesterday.  B was seen carrying her sleeping baby girl last night, after what looked like a busy day.  B kept Blue protected from the prying paparazzi and their never ending flashes, with a multicolored blanket.

Jay and B were snapped attending Roc Nation artist, Rita Ora at her concert last night.  Rita performed at the Cartier Afterparty held at Skylight Soho in NYC.  She performed her two new singles R.I.P. and How We Do (Party) along with other music from her upcoming debut album.  

Rita hit the red carpet and performed while her boss and B looked on.  B looked like she enjoyed her night out.  Glad to see the mommy/daddy duo out enjoying the night.

J.K. Rowling's first "official" adult book, The Casual Vacancy, will be out September 27, 2012.  The 480 page novel is set in the town of Pagford.  

Pagford is set in England, of course, and is described as "an English idyll, with a cobbled market square and an ancient abbey" .  Pagford is in the middle of a civil war and many things aren't as they seem.  Below is an overview of the book:

B and Blue were snapped, today, heading back to their Manhattan penthouse in TriBeca and then heading into B's office.  Jay, B and Blue just returned back from a holiday on the island of St. Barts.  They celebrated their four year anniversary and Blue's first Easter with both their families.
