Jay's "Magna Carta Holy Grail" is proving to be one of his most personal albums, and his track "JAY Z BLUE" and ode to his daughter Blue, is probably the most personal on the album.  In the track Jay talks about both the joys and fears of fatherhood.  He still worries about the effects --of his own dad leaving him, and wonders will it have an effect on his own ability to be a great father.

Last night B took Vegas.  She performed for a sold out crowd at the MGM.  And Mrs. Carter once again didn't disappoint.   She's a force.  B shared photos from the concert on her site.  Check out a few below.

Queen Of The Stage: Beyoncé Teams Up With BET To Kick Off US Leg of "The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour"...Dazzles Sold Out Staples Crowd Full Of Celebrities

Last night, Mrs. Carter kicked off the US leg of her sold-out world tour.  B dazzled the celebrity packed crowd at the Staples Center.  And received rave reviews from both critics and the jam packed crowd.  Billboard reports that B, "brought it and turnt it up!"  And that's exactly what we expect of Queen B.  She is a force on the stage.  She captures you from her entrance and leaves you breathless and in awe by the end of the night.  There's nothing like it.

And last night was no different, Billboard reports:

The sold-out concert marked the launch of the U.S. leg of her Mrs. Carter Show World Tour— and capped the first day of BET’s inaugural three-day music and lifestyle festival, the BET Experience. Queen B’s two-hour musical and visual extravaganza also laid claim to something else: the multi-talented artist’s intent to join the rarefied ranks of ultimate entertainer.

 From the first notes of “Girls Run the World,” she had the audience in her hands. Aided by her ladies—a tight all-female band, a trio of rich background female singers and a troupe of fluid and flexible female dancers (accompanied at times by the show’s two lone male dancers)—Beyoncé alternately gyrated, strutted, swaggered and belted her way through such songs as “Get Me Bodied” (prefaced by a playful call and response with the audience: “Hey, Mrs. Carter”), “Baby Boy,” “Diva,” “Freakum Dress” (wearing a deep-plunging, thigh-high split long red dress), “Party,” “Crazy in Love” and “Naughty Girl” (accented by a snippet of Donna Summer’s “Love to Love You”), “Countdown,” “Single Ladies” (integrating a snippet from the theme song to “The Jeffersons” TV show) and “Grown Woman.”

That said, a strong-voiced Beyoncé delivered a power-packed two hours, treating fans to a kaleidoscope of colorful imagery and on-point dancing that enhanced rather than overshadowed the music. “I’ve got so much energy,” she said before introducing her band, singers and dancers. “I just want to give it back to you guys.”

Thursday afternoon, True Blood star and new mommy, Anna Paquin was snapped taking her 7-month old twins, Charlie & Poppy for a stroll around the block in her L.A. neighborhood.  Anna and her husband, True Blood star, Stephen Moyer have been very protective of their twins.  But recently, the two have been snapped enjoying family time together with their twins.

Every since Jay's Father's Day announcement, during the NBA Finals, Jay has been taking us into the world of his brand new album "Magna Carta Holy Grail" which he says "is about the struggles of fame and success."

"Magna Carta Holy Grail" is Jay's first album since fatherhood, and you can tell that fatherhood has made him wiser.  In the behind the scenes video features, Jay has appeared introspective and all about change and growth.  He talks of the every day struggles of life and maintaining a balance.

On tracks "Heaven" he talks about his views of heaven.  And how life can be both heaven and hell.  Saying that heaven can be hearing your child's laugh or seeing their smile.  While hell on earth could be, having your child go missing even for three minutes.  On "Jay-Z Blue", his dedication to Blue, he talks fears of fatherhood and wanting to be a great father.

While on his track "Oceans" which, features Frank Ocean, he talks about the journey, our journey through the Middle Passage and now his own journeys through the same waters.  And also the plight of African Americans.

"Magna Carta Holy Grail"  is a classic in the making.  It has all-star collaborations.  Jay teams up with B on "Part ll (On The Run)" and also on his modern-day posse cut, "BBC" which, also featuring Nas, Justin Timberlake, Timberland and Swizz Beatz.  Also rumored to be on the album is Rick Ross on the track "FuckWithMeYouKnowIGotIt".

A King's Art: Jay-Z Takes Swizz's "Holy Grail" Art Work...It's An Ode to Basquiat

Today Swizz let the world know that, avid art collector, Jay-Z purchased his "Basquiat on Benz Hood"  piece, which he dubbed "Holy Grail".  All proceeds from the sale will be donated to art schools.  Swizz says that the piece was created for and dedicated to Jay.  

He tweeted the news, with the above photo:

“Look who purchased my Basquiat on Benz Hood 2day, what a honor and Blessing I’m so grateful for the support! July 4 its Showtime ART LIFE!!! I will use proceeds to continue helping kids in need.”

We all know how much Jay loves Basquiat.  I'm sure both Carters can't wait to have the piece hanging in their home.  Sweet.

Jay-Z's "Magna Carta Holy Grail" is already classic material.  In the clips we've seen, Jay is introspective and in storytelling mode--Mr. Philosopher.  He's "Reasonable Doubt" Jay only wiser, richer and with more to share and teach.

In the latest "Magna Carter" feature Jay gives us a behind the scenes look into "Jay-Z Blue" his dedication to his baby girl, Blue.  In the clip Jay says that Blue is a creation of both him and B, and that they still marvel at her.  Insiders say that Jay gets very personal on this album, especially on this track.

Beyoncé has shared more snapshots of her most precious possession--her little Princess Blue.  She gives us another glimpse into Blue's world, and it's quite grand--Mrs. Carter uploaded a photo of Blue roc'n a blue crown.  And it looks like the youngest Carter is following in her mommy's footsteps.  She also shared a photo of Blue's custom made Tom Ford heels and the cutest gown.  It's the perfect attire for a princess in training.  Too cute.

It's all about the app.  Those lucky Samsung customers have been getting and then sharing details (from Jay's MCHC app) about Jay-Z's, highly anticipated album, "Magna Carta Holy Grail" which is available to Samsung customers July 4, and everyone else July 7.

The latest info was the release of the lyrics for "Part II (On The Run)" which features B.  The song channels 03 Bonnie & Clyde--it's Hov & B over a decade later.  Grander & Greater.  

I'm so happy that the Carters are reunited in song once again.  I can't wait to hear the track.  Check out the lyrics below.

Party In Miami: LeBron, Wade, Bosh & The Heat Get Their Parade...It's One Big Party in Miami...

Monday, LeBron, D-Wade & Chris Bosh celebrated their back-to-back championship with a parade in Miami.   The Heat players celebrated with their families and their city.  And just like last year it was one big party.  And it was a family affair--LeBron and Wade were both snapped with their sons.

It was a well deserved win.  Congrats fellas.  See you next year.

Last night Jay celebrated for a good cause at his, 40/40 Club.  He helped Robinson Cano's, The RC24 Foundation, raise enough money to build a school in the Dominican Republic.

The Yankee star, held a Superheroes themed domino night.  Attendees had to pay between $500-$750 per ticket.  Hot 97's Angie Martinez, reported that the one night fundraiser, raised enough money to build one school in Cano's native, D.R.

Kevin Durant--Roc Nation Sports latest superstar signing--made his Roc introduction at the event last night.  The event was attended by a host of celebs.  Check out photos below.

King Of The Times: Jay-Z Takes Over Times Square...Shows Off "Magna Carta Holy Grail"

Hov has taken over Times Square, again.  Photos of him, boasting his new rules and showing off, "Magna Carta Holy Grail" are all over Times Square.  The photos are part of the promotion for his new album and are also part of his partnership with Samsung.

Yesterday Samsung customers were able to download the Magna Carter app, which will allow them to download the album, 72 hours before the rest of us, on July 4, and also gives them exclusive behind the scenes content.  

Hmm...a Samsung phone is starting to look, better and better.  The album is out for everyone else on July 7.

Queen of The Stage: Beyoncé Extends Mrs. Carter Show...Set to Hit Latin America, Mexico, Canada & More US Dates Added...

Queen B has added more dates to her critically acclaimed and sold out, The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour and she's giving her Brazilian Hive exactly what they want.

The Mrs. Carter Show hits Latin America on September 8, in Fortaleza Brazil, just one of five stops in the country--which includes performances at already announced Rock in Rio, September 13, and Sao Paulo, September 15.   In addition to Brazil, the tour will be stopping in Mexico and Puerto Rico.

After she raps the Latin American leg, she's headed back to the Canada and the US.  B's back in Brooklyn on December 19, the Staples Center on December 3 and wraps in Boston on December 20. B kicks off the first round of her North American dates this Friday, June 28, in Los Angeles at the Staples Center.

Luv & Family: Kim & Kanye Welcome A Baby Girl...

Kanye is celebrating his first Father's Day today.  He and Kim welcomed a baby girl into the world, Saturday morning.  

Their precious bundle of joy arrived early, Kim's due date was in July.  But, Khloe let everyone know via twitter, that both mommy and baby are healthy and resting.

   

Congrats and happy Father's Day, Yeezy.

On Friday, Jay sent out a photo of a Samsung phone with a message on it that that said:  NBA FINALS GAME FIVE, Tune In Turn Up The Volume, Sunday 9:15 EST.  

He also added his own special message: "The Chain Remains" --@S_C_ .  

Looks like we'll find out about that deal tonight.  So, will new music be a part of the big reveal?

Sunday afternoon, B & Blue were snapped enjoying time in Jay's beloved Brooklyn.   They first enjoyed swing time at a park in Park Slope.  Then they headed to the Farmer's Market to do a little shopping.   Blue sure spends a lot of time in BK.

The Carters had a busy weekend.  Saturday, they celebrated with Kanye in NYC, for his B'Day Bash.  They were snapped enjoying each other, and spending time with Nas and Yeezy.  B uploaded her own photos of the festivities on her Tumblr page.

Then on Sunday, B was also snapped in Park Slope, Brooklyn, with Blue.  So cute.

B's also been sharing little tidbits about her newest fragrance,  HEAT The Mrs. Carter Show Limited Edition.  Friday she shared another photo--that gives a glimpse of the bottle--turquoise,blue and gold.

Luv & Family: Tamar & Vince Welcome a Baby Boy....Tamar Tweets The Good News

Last night Tamar & Vince welcomed their first child, a bouncing baby boy.  The news was revealed by the new mommy herself, who sent out a tweet and a photo of a blue teddy bear family, too cute.  The new parents are over the moon, Tamar summed up their joy in a tweet:  #tamartian friends HE'S finally here! #bfv #tamarandvince #theone :-).  How sweet.
