B News: Beyoncé Tours The Menil & Talks New Album....

B spent her Fourth of July Holiday in Houston, TX with her family and friends.  She was snapped taking in the sights and getting her Photo-Shoot Fresh on.  And I'm sure somewhere she squeezed in a barbecue and fireworks.

But that's not all the Queen did, being the art fanatic that she is, she took a tour of The Menil Collection --with her mom, little sis Solange and three friends on Tuesday --the day the museum is closed to the public.

During the tour she of course fell in love with "Celebration in Blue", which is the theme of The Menil's 25th anniversary gala in November:
Muse (Menil communications director) reports that they were particularly taken with Yves Klein's blue paintings. A happy coincidence, "Celebration in Blue" is the theme of The Menil's 25th anniversary gala in November and Klein's blue paintings will be on view. (Source: houston.culturemap)

B also talked her own art during the tour.  She told Menil curator Toby Kamps, who escorted the group for part of the tour, that she was about to start working on a new album:
Beyoncé told Kamps that she is about to start recording a new album but not before her merry band visits Marfa to view the Donald Judd and Dan Flavin works at the Chinati Foundation.  (Source: houston.culturemap)
Can't wait to see what the Queen has in store for us on her fifth studio album.
