Saturday 101 cities peacefully gathered for a Justice For Trayvon Rally, which was organized by Rev Al Sharpton's National Action Network and The Trayvon Martin Foundation--created by Sybrina Fulton, Trayvon's beloved mother...she is just such a beacon of hope and grace.
Jay & B joined Trayvon's family, The Rev and a host of other New Yorkers who attended the rally to protest the Stand Your Ground Laws.
Rev Al announced the Carters telling the crowd, "two of the baddest artists of all time" were in attendance.
Jay & B were there to offer support. They didn't make big speeches and they blended in with the crowd. They have both been long supporters of Trayvon and his family. After the rally they spent time time with Trayvon's parents Sybrina & Tracy and his big brother, Jahvaris.
"Jay Z told me, 'I'm a father. Beyoncé is a mother.' We all feel the pain and apprehension -- the law must protect everybody, or it doesn't protect anybody," Sharpton said.
The Rev continued, "We do not come from hate, we come from love of children."
I am so glad to see Jay & B, continuing the fight. I am so proud. We must continue to fight for Justice For Trayvon.
